new horizons

A short ferry trip from Tribunna is the completely stunning Maria Island. No cars, just walking and cycling and plenty of wildlife. I decided to walk with Chris Todd  (model for the surf sessions) and even though it was drizzling to begin with, we had a great crack and wished I could have stayed. Half term means the only hostel was booked solid and its far too freakin’ cold to camp (and I don’t)

First….past hoards of wild kangaroos and over the hill to Fossil Beach

After all that excitement it was up and over the hill and down to the old brick workings and possum-land…..the rain stopped as well which was a result!

Then a stride out for what was to turn out to be the main event…….. Painted Rocks!

WAVES OF STONE

Far too long scrambling about on the rock ledges, so dash back to the boat, well happy!
