A walk to New Chums Beach (a local secret – thanks for the nod, Warren and Sandy) – Robinson Crusoe stuff after a – dune topping, estuary wading, beach tramping and muddy path over the mountain track walking, hour or so.
Duck through the overhanging trees to………… Bloody Fabulous. A lost world.
Lovely afternoon light on the return leg to Coromandel and preparations for the fishing trip at 6 am tomorrow and then the journey Southwards. It’s only going to get colder!
And, just so the title makes sense, unbelievable colours in the sea today whist driving down the Coromandel Coast Road and whilst out fishing.
I’m now in Waiotapu – Land of Steam and Geysers – and another chapter begins. More excitement for tomorrow…..one from the journey down.
