g “wish you were here” from Coromandel,
Arriving in the Coromandel Peninsula as the sun set was an auspicious start. Coromandel town is laid back and colonial and I had a good feeling for the place as I settled in to the TOP 10 caravan park.

Next morning I headed out – up the 309. I came across huge numbers of multi-coloured wild boar and shoeless and chatty Stuart. (Stewie and his Pigs)
Next up was a small waterfall and then I continued over the mountain to look at Cathedral Cove

A quick cider on the return trip, turned into several, with Warren and Sandy from “Auntie Dawn’s” in Hot Water Beach. They provided a place for the camper and several nights of food and laughter with them and their friends. I drunk far to much of Warren’s homebrew (and then we became Pinot Noir experts after that!) I was ‘on the wagon’ last night….oooh my head! Slow day!! A big social event is on the cards today – the local pig hunt (wild boar) with everyone doing their thing at the tavern. Starts at One….
What’s the weather looking like this morning?
