new horizons

Campervanned out of Auckland asap after picking up at Wilderness Campers, near the airport, and I cant recommend them enough. Headed for my first ‘campable app’ find – and arrived at sunset at Acorn Cottage, in McLeod Bay.

Peter was away but his daughter, Aimee, her husband Shaun and family gave me the full welcome, tour on Saturday morning, then lunch – how good is that.

HELLO

A walk along the foreshore and a steep (1900ft) climb up Mt. Moraia in the afternoon, where I met another seriously gorgeous pair – Helen and her daughter Angelique – what a brilliant start. It’ll be hard to move on.

Then a blast around to Bream Head for a bike ride and a walk and then back in the camper and up to Russel for a bit of exploring further north.
