Some cracking weather and the desire to get exploring this amazing place has led to some remarkable discoveries. And I haven’t moved out of the north-west yet!
The volcanic mountains loom overhead almost everywhere and the landscape changes as quickly as the elevations change. From ferny rainforest to rural pasture to rocky, wind and sun blasted plateau and high rocky peaks.
